Stadler’s FLIRT trains are equipped with Jakobs bogies. Thus, two consecutive vehicle bodies are always supported on a common bogie. Only the outer wagons at both ends of the train are equipped with powered bogies. Hence, when lifting FLIRT trains, the eight outermost lifting jacks are therefore the most heavily loaded.
Autolift took this into account when it delivered a new lifting jack system for 4 wagons to Stadler Service Polska Sp.z o.o. in Lodz / Poland. The 4 outermost lifting jacks at both train ends are designed for a load of 18 tons and the remaining inner jacks for 12 tons. In addition, the 18 ton jacks are equipped with a higher load arm and the 12 ton jacks with a lower load arm.
Since Stadler Service Polska Sp.z o.o. already received an identical system in 2018, a FLIRT train with 8 wagons can be lifted with a combination of the two systems. Maximum capacity of the system in this case is 432ton (8x18ton + 24x12ton). Both systems can be used together or separately. A customer-specific solution. As customers of Autolift are used to.
The systems are used for the maintenance and repair of 54 FLIRT vehicles from the companies Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna and Polskie Koleje Państwowe IC, Koleje Śląskie and Koleje Mazowieckie.
